Opportunities for Training and Employment

We are always interested in considering young scientists with an interest in the cell biology of muscle for positions as researchers or technicians in the laboratory.

Graduate students already accepted into any of the graduate programs with which we are affilitated (Molecular Medicine, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, in the Graduate Programs in Life Sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore:[GPILS]) are welcome to meet with us to arrange rotations.

Undergraduates interested in pursuing their graduate studies on these topics are encouraged to inquire (see Contacts) and to apply for admission through GPILS.

Individuals interested in postdoctoral training in Muscle Biology are also encouraged to apply. Postdoctoral support is available through several mechanisms, including the Training Grant in Muscle Biology (Dr. M. Schneider, P.I.). Our postdoctoral fellows have also competed successfully for fellowships from the NIH, Muscular Dystrophy Association and other organizations.

Our technical staff is now full, but inquiries regarding future positions are welcome.
